Paloma – Boudoir-style underwater portraits in a cenote

behind the scenes – A sublime light illuminates the cenote where Paloma dances
Colored fabric and the spectacular backdrop of a cenote were enough for this boudoir-style aquatic photo session. Paloma isn’t a professional model, demonstrating that a boudoir-style session is achievable for everyone. She was, however, totally relaxed and controlled her breath under the water perfectly. These two factors are essential in remaining calm underwater, and allowing your natural presence to shine through.
Note that it’s not necessary to go too deep. Usually we take photos just below the surface of the water. The effects of perspective and reflection, however, give the sensation that we are much deeper.
