The story: National Geographic magazine contacted us to come to one of our cenote photo shoots as they were preparing a report on Maya cenotes and their place in Maya society today. They heard about the new underwater Trash the Dress trend taking place on the Riviera Maya and asked to be present at one of our shoots.
We got permission from our clients Karla and Justin, who were preparing for a Trash the Dress session with us, to allow National Geographic to attend the shoot. We were joined by one of National Geographic’s photographers, and the couple had their photo published in the magazine. That’s not something that happens every day to a bride!
The National Geographic article: The magazine published an extensive report on Maya cenotes in various editions (American, French, Spanish …). It includes a double-page photo of Karla, Justin and the team in the water of the cenote.
